Real job Block paving driveway, washed down at about 1500 psi. No re-sanding on this job.

Commercial and contract cleaning

Car parks, forecourts, loading bays and farmyards across East Sussex. One operator, one machine, priced per site after I have walked it.

My own photographs, all from domestic jobs. I have not photographed a commercial site yet.

Another job

Where this stands, plainly

I have been jet washing for over ten years and I am very good at it. The photographed portfolio on this site is domestic, because domestic is what I have been booked for. Commercial is the side I am building now.

That matters to you in exactly two ways, and I would rather say them than have you find them out. The machine, the chemistry and the method are the same at any scale, so the finish is not in question. What is newer is the scheduling around a live site, and that is why every commercial job starts with a survey and a written plan of how the work gets done around your operation rather than through it.

The upside for an early commercial customer is that I am pricing to win the work and build a reference site, and I will show you a test patch before you commit to anything.

What I take on

Four kinds of commercial site

Budget

What commercial work costs

The domestic price list on this site is fixed and published, because a driveway is a driveway. A commercial site is not, so this side works differently: a survey, then a fixed written price for your site.

Guide figures

Open hard standing, over 200m² guide
from £2.50/m²
Car parks, yards and aprons. Cheaper per square metre than a domestic drive because the machine runs continuously once it is set up and there is far less edge work per square metre.
Half day on site guide
around £350
One operator, roughly four hours including setting up and clearing down. Suits a forecourt, a smoking area or a single loading bay.
Full day on site guide
around £600
The usual unit for a car park or a farmyard, and normally the cheapest way to buy the work if the whole site can be done in one visit.
Out of hours guide
+25%
Evenings, Sundays and before opening. Usually cheaper overall than losing trade or parking during the day, which is why most commercial work happens this way.
Minimum commercial visit guide
£300
Getting a commercial machine to site and away again is most of a small job, the same as it is domestically. Repeat visits on a contract are priced differently.

Commercial work is priced per site after a survey, so nothing above is a quote. The figures are here so you can decide whether it is worth a phone call, and they are the range this sort of work sits in rather than a number I will hold you to. Access, out of hours working and how much of the site can be closed at once move a commercial price further than the area does.

How it runs

From your call to the invoice

  1. 01

    Site walk

Half an hour on site with you. Surface, drainage, access, marking type and how much of it can be closed at once.

  2. 02

    Test patch

On anything with heavy oil, gum or rust I clean a small area and you look at it. You buy a result you have seen rather than one you have been promised.

  3. 03

    Written quote

A fixed price, the hours I will be on site, and what is excluded. Purchase order reference carried on the invoice if you need one.

  4. 04

    The visit

Worked in phases so your site keeps running, or out of hours if that suits better. Photographs of the finished work sent the same day.

Arrange a survey

Tell me about the site

Rough area, surface type and when the site is quietest is enough to start. If you can send a couple of photographs from your phone, better still. I will come and walk it before quoting anything.

What needs doing? At home
Commercial site

Commercial work is quoted per site after a survey rather than from the published price list. Tick one of these and I will arrange a time to come and walk it.

Roughly how many parking spaces, or paces across × paces deep. An estimate is fine.

Photos Two or three from different angles is plenty. Photos are what let me quote a fixed price without coming out first.
